Recupera su dinero de estafa
Cancún, Quintana Roo.- Xavier Cormier, el turista canadiense que denunció una supuesta estafa por parte de un taxista en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Cancún, recibió apoyo de las autoridades y logró recuperar el dinero que le iban a cobrar por el servicio.
El también atleta difundió su caso en redes sociales, donde explicó que un taxista le cobró mil dólares (casi 17 mil pesos) por un traslado de la terminal 3 a la 4.
Inicialmente, el turista iba a pagar cinco dólares (alrededor de 85 pesos) por el servicio, sin embargo, todo se convirtió en una terrible experiencia, en un destino que ha sido marcado por taxistas que han protagonizado diversas problemáticas, ya sea contra conductores de aplicación o incluso turistas.
Tras darse a conocer el caso, la secretaria de Gobierno de Quintana Roo, Cristina Torres, dijo que "en el momento que el turista hace la denuncia con la persona que lo trasladó en el sitio, llega apoyo de la Guardia Nacional, de la Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana y logran que se devolviera el cobro al usuario”.

I was traveling to the airport going back to Montreal Canada at 2am Wednesday night / Thursday Morning the 18th of April 2024 when I got set up by the taxi company from the airport and the security at Terminal 3. They told me I could not stay there and need to pay another taxi ( from the airport! ) to go to Terminal 4 for 5$ which I did. I was alone with the 2 security and the only taxi available when they start pressuring me to pay via Credit card. I did not want to but I had no other choice and could walk between terminal they told me. After paying with my card and getting back in the Taxi for only 2 minute I Realized the payment that went on my card was over 1000$ . I was still in the car and the situation escalated at the Terminal 4 where I managed to get the attention of the touriste and traveler waiting for they flights. When the taxi saw the security he tried to escape with me and my luggage in the car but I manage to jump in the front of the car and shift the transmission on Park which almost result in a car accident. The airport security arrived just in time before situation got even more crazy. I filled a report number against the driver and the taxi airport , I believe some of the cops and security agent over there where also in the scam because they wanted me to go the police station to press charge against the driver but to only get rid of my story and all the proof I have against the scam system at the airport including Security and the Airport Taxi Company. I believe if I would stop the car in time something even worst was waiting for me. Are these scammers still working at the Cancun Airport?! If yes help stop this corrupted system and DO NOT TRAVEL TO MEXICO!🇲🇽⚠️

La funcionaria estatal informó que se realiza una investigación con autoridades federales, pues se buscará tomar medidas que sancionen este tipo de conductas que afectan la grata experiencia que deberían tener los visitantes en la entidad.
"Hay un trabajo de fondo que se esta realizando con todas las instancias federales y estatales competentes, del Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR), los diversos sectores turísticos, dado que el Aeropuerto Internacional de Cancún se encuentra dentro de una zona de jurisdicción federal, para eficientar la seguridad y la movilidad de los usuarios y visitantes que llegan al aeropuerto de Cancún".
En las grabaciones, Xavier Cormier aseguró haber sido testigo de una red de corrupción entre los taxistas y elementos de seguridad del aeropuerto.
“Estaba sólo con dos hombres de seguridad, quienes me dijeron que no podía estar solo afuera de la terminal y me presionaron para tomar el único taxi que había disponible. Me presionaron para pagar con tarjeta de crédito, pero yo no quería", dijo el deportista.
Cuando se realizó el traslado y notó el cargo excesivo, el turista llamó a la policía. El conductor intentó detenerlo, pero no lo logró e incluso trató de escapar con las maletas de Xavier en la cajuela.
El turista saltó hacía el cofre del auto y logró poner en ‘Parking’ el automóvil. Elementos de la policía y Guardia Nacional notaron la situación y apoyaron al hombre.
Tras realizar la denuncia, Xavier continuó con el contenido relacionado con los deportes, pues practica calistenia, sin hasta el momento hacer mayor mención sobre su experiencia.
